It’s kitesurfing time! For the first time visiting the stunning Algarve region in the south of Portugal. One of the highlights of my trip was discovering the beautiful Alvor Lagoon, a place where oysters are grown and kitesurfing is enjoyed.
However, kitesurfing in Alvor Lagoon can be quite challenging due to the changing tides. Sometimes, it also becomes extremely difficult to teach kitesurfing because of the high tides & strong currents (around full moon). But despite the occasional hurdles, it was an absolute blast.
Our wind sport center was located in the charming city of Lagos.
This coastal gem boasts breathtaking beaches and magnificent cliffs. While in Lagos, I had the pleasure of staying at Antonio’s house , which felt like a big brother’s house with his four children and three dogs. And of course many friends visiting all the time. There was never a dull moment! 🙂
All in all, my experience in the Algarve region was nothing short of incredible. I met lovely people from all over the world. It was a great and lovely adventure that I will cherish forever. (tnx Antonio, Jhony, Andrea, Juice, Doron, Sherley, Anass, Natalia, Lukas, Margie, Sky, Lena and Ticky and all the other guys…..for great time and wish you all the best whereever you are. Special tnx to Sky for delivering puppies just before our goodbye 🙂
